Brady

Every once in a while, you come across an animal that touches your heart. It might be a crazy canine, like Marley, or a clever horse like Misty, or a goofy cat like.... Garfield??? (Ok, so I'm not a "cat person," sorry!). I was lucky enough to have one of those special companionships with my weimaraner, Brady. He was my sweet 16 birthday present, and from the minute we brought him home, he was MINE. He went everywhere with me, slept in my bed, kissed me when I cried, and loved me with all his heart. I may not have been the best, most dotting dog-mom he deserved, but he certainly was the best dog ever, hands down.

Growing up, I always imagined having pictures taken on my wedding day, me in my dress, hugging my best friend. And I always thought what a great big "brother" Brady would be to my babies. Unfortunately, Brady passed away from brain cancer before my life reached any of those milestones. So today, on the anniversary of his passing, please just take a minute to hug your pets and remember your special friends.

Rump Shaker

We have one active little boy on our hands. Graham is working hard on teaching himself to crawl, even practicing in his sleep (see above). Every evening during tummy time, Erik and I think this might be *the* night! Graham is thisclose. My little boy is all grows up:

What a big boy!

All proud of himself :-)

So strong, just look at that ground clearance!

Starting to get frustrated....

This kid definitely has his momma's patience level!

Happy Easter - only a week(ish) late....

Happy Easter! Graham had a great Easter, the bunny was really good to him. He got a cute Polo windbreaker, a stuffed bunny, some great flashcards and activity toys, some dishes for his 'big boy food,' and new binkies. And check out his super cute Easter basket:

Quick Updates....

We've been busy in the two weeks since our last post -- Graham's tooth has yet to make an appearance, it's hanging out just below the surface, but is definitely making itself known - G is still pretty miserable and drooley, mainly at night. But we're coping. In the mean time, Graham's been very busy. See:

Hanging out in his crib....

Wearing...er, I mean, eating his food....

Meeting new best friends....

and the Easter Bunny....

And just looking cute in general.

While Graham's mastered the art of rolling back-to-tummy, we're still waiting for him to figure out tummy-to-back. He's officially five months old now, so hopefully it'll be soon!
